Who is eligible?

Indian graduates with a first class degree who have secured admission to a recognised university abroad for postgraduate study. The award is an interest-free loan scholarship, so selected candidates sign a repayment undertaking.

What the award covers

  • Interest-free loan scholarship towards tuition and living costs

Amounts are revised by the awarding body each cycle. Treat this as the shape of the award, not a quotation.

Documents you will need

  • Admission letter or proof of application
  • Academic transcripts
  • Two references
  • Financial statement

Worth knowing before you apply

This is a loan scholarship, not a grant: repayment begins after the course ends. Top-ranked candidates each year receive the larger K C Mahindra Fellowship amounts.

Covering what the scholarship does not

A partial award reduces the bill rather than removing it. Work out the remaining figure first, then decide how to fund it — that is the number a lender assesses, not the headline fee.
